1. Day

See Rio from the sea on the Guanabara Bay Cruise from Rio de Janeiro. This cruise is available with or without lunch.

Guanabara Bay Cruise with Lunch:
At the start of the half-day excursion, you will be picked up from your hotel in a coach at a time pre-arranged with the activity operator. An English-speaking guide will accompany you.

You will be driven to Marina DA Gloria where you will board a cruise boat for your trip around the Bay.

Relax and look around you as magnificent panoramas unfold along the shoreline. Guanabara is the world’s largest bay in terms of volume of water. It has several islands – the Governor’s Island, Fundão and Snakes Island.

See the city spread out along the coast, backed by forested mountains. Pick out the unmistakeable silhouette of the Sugar Loaf and the massive hump of Corcovado topped by the great statue of Christ Redeemer. View the historic buildings and the many different neighborhoods of the metropolis – Botafogo, Flamengo, Urca, Fort São Joao, Flagstone Island, Santa Cruz Fortress, and Rio- Niteroi Bridge.

After heading back, you will take a ride back through Aterro do Flamengo from where you can see the beautiful Sugar Loaf in all its glory, before arriving at a traditional Barbecue Lunch, All you can eat style (If option selected. If not, you will be dropped off at your hotel).

Brazilian Churrascarias (Barbecue places) offer a wide variety of sides and alternative options, in case you decide to stick with a vegetarian option, you will still leave delighted. After this delicious lunch, you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Guanabara Bay Cruise Only:
This option is just the same as the one above except that the lunch is not included. At the end of the trip, you will be dropped back at your hotel or at the cruise port.

The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details and local telephone numbers at the destination. They will happily answer any logistical questions you may have.

Pick up is available from most hotels in the São Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana areas of Rio de Janeiro. If we are not able to pick up from your hotel an alternate pick up location will be arranged upon reconfirmation. Please be ready in your hotel lobby 5 minutes prior to the agreed pick up time. The guide will come in and call you by name. Please have your printed voucher in hand to present to the guide upon boarding the coach. Regrettably this tour is not wheelchair accessible This tour is subject to a minimum passenger requirement and depends on weather conditions.
