Tour Program

  • 1. Day

Please make your way to Geneva Bus Station (Place Dorcière) to board the comfortable air-conditioned coach for your See Geneva - City Tour and Cruise.

With your bilingual guide (English and French) you will first take a coach tour of the city. You will visit the international part of Geneva, where many global organizations including the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the United Nations (UN) have their headquarters.

You will also see the city's main attractions, including the wonderful Flower Clock, a living tribute to the Swiss watch-making industry.

Next, you will visit the picturesque Old Town where lovely old houses cluster beneath the cathedral of Saint Pierre. You will first tour the historic area by mini-train and then explore the cobbled streets on foot with your guide.

To complete the Geneva city tour, you will take a one-hour boat cruise on the lake with an informative commentary. You can enjoy as you view many of Geneva's highlights from the vantage point of the lake.

These include the Palais de Nations (European headquarters of the UN), the spectacular Jet d'Eau fountain (one of the world's largest fountains), the 17th century castle of Bellerive (home of the Aga Khan), the lovely Mermaid statue and the Black Harbour with its graceful yachts.

You will also see the Stones of Niton (or Stones of Neptune). These huge rocks were left behind by the Rhone glacier when it retreated at the end of the last Ice Age. And you will get a view of Villa Diodati, where Lord Byron, Mary Shelley, Percy Shelley, and others spent a holiday in 1816.

Leaving your boat, you will re-board your coach and will be taken back to the starting point at Geneva Bus Station (Place Dorcière).
