Pamukkale Tour from Alanya, Side, Belek, Kemer and Antalya

En route to one of Mother Nature’s most spectacular creations, travel through the magnificent Taurus Mountains, passing through various intriguing Turkish landscapes and enjoy a breakfast stop at Korkuteli. You can buy tea and coffee snacks in the cafe if you do not have a lunch box from the hotel. There are other stops on the way to Pamukkale to make the journey easier and more convenient.

Upon arrival in Pamukkale, there will be a stop at Denzili, the closest town to Pamukkale, for a great panoramic view of the world-famous travertines and to take some great memorable photos. Pamukkale means cotton castle in Turkish and when you first look at the snow-white terraces, you will understand why. It is an unforgettable moment to watch this breathtaking natural wonder, where natural hot springs flowed down the mountainside and solidified into white rock pools creating stunningly beautiful cliffs. A complimentary buffet lunch will then be served at a nearby Pamukkale cafe. The hill with its beautiful white terraces is visible from the restaurant.

The travertines of Pamukkale are unique in the world and were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988. Take off your shoes and take a walk in this wonderland of pools filled with warm, clear water and admire the scenery. After discovering the terraces, visit the ancient city of Hierapolis which lies above the travertines. Here you can learn about the interesting history of the ancient city during the Byzantine and Roman periods and see the well-preserved Roman theater and ancient baths, which have been restored and transformed into an archaeological museum.

Also worth seeing are the Temple of Apollo, the Necropolis, the Nymphaeum and a 4th century Basilica. It is also possible to swim (optional, not included) in the old main thermal pool known as Cleopatra's Pool, which is like a swim in warm, sparkling water, the perfect way to end your visit to the Cotton Castle.

On the way back to Denizli, you can stop for shopping again (textile/leather and onyx textile shop). Dinner is served at a local restaurant and directly in Alanya after the trip.
